Description |
Box- 4 sides- top & bottom; wood Color: Natural wood, but very dirty. Stamps- Portions of one blue revenue stamp illegible. Red stamp is partially intact, reads "packing 100 cigars" Lid- Scarred with two spots of wax. "Mohr's" printed in black is barely legible. Inside lid paper intact- yellow background with Mohr's in red, outlined in blue. "5" in center in red with a blue circle surrounding it. Lower left corner reads "Hand Made". Lower right corner reads "5c Straight". White paper liner partially intact. Sides: left mimics inside top lid liner except with white background. Paper only partially intact. Right side reads in black letters: Mohr's 5. Front of box reads "Mohr's 5" The tax paid stamp reads cigars not to be sold for more than 5 cents each. Exterior banding paper intact except for left side. Yellow and red banding reads: Cuban Hand Made; Vuelta Abajo. Bottom/underside stamps illegible except with magnification. Union made stamp- Illinois. Revenue stamp: Factory #215; 8th Dist Ill. Upper inside back reads in red "Peter Mohr Cigar Co. Mohr's 5 Belleville Illinois" |
