Description |
Box, 4 sides-Top & bottom, sides- pressed paper. Color: Paper in navy blue, red white. Stamps: None, box possibly not used. Lid top: Blue paper with double circle and "Beck's" in red writing. In white letters the words"Deluxe, Smooth, Smoking, 10c. Same on inside of . lid. Sides: Faded navy paper with lettering same as top. Bottom: Factory No. 243 8 Dist Ill 50 State of Ill. and accompanying notice. Printed stamp "The cigars herein contained were manufactured to retail at more than eight cents and not more than fifteen cents each and are so tax paid." Cigar box not wood and does not have the union made stamp by the Union of Carpenters and Joiners. |
